My name is Faleha Ubeis-Ketting, an Iraqi from origin and I have lived in Europe for almost 30 years now. I have lived, studied and worked in Finland in the nineties as a multicultural entrepreneur and mediator where I had done studies and research’s in Multicultural environment. I worked and opened my first business in Finland as an Arabic Culture and Language teacher and as a Finnish-Arabic Culture Mediator.
At the end of 1998 I moved to the Netherlands, where I started my new life and as a result of that change I started also new studies. I have worked for different companies like for example Iittala and Ikea, and for various public and school projects in Rotterdam. I wanted to use my skills after observing that the political and cultural situation between Europe and the Middle East became more and more unclear and in some cases even worse. So I decided to apply my skills and knowledge where it is needed and to prove my added value; building bridges between cultures. That is the reason why I started to study Middle Eastern Studies at Leiden University, where I graduated as an Arabist in January 2018. After my graduation I have actively addressed business between the Middle East and The Netherlands, which contains mostly building relations between the companies on one hand and the Dutch and Finnish Government on the other hand.
